A "Play Like a Champion" PLC Workshop is scheduled Sunday, February 21st.
All coaches (head and assistants) are required to attend a Play Like a Champion workshop before they are permitted to coach in a DPL game. This workshop will be the only one offered before the start of the baseball, softball and track seasons.
$25.00 workshop fee
Attendance at a PLC workshop is required just once during your time as a volunteer coach in the DPL. The exception would be if you are suspended for unsportsmanlike behavior. You would then be required to attend another PLC workshop as soon as possible after your suspension and BEFORE you would be eligible to coach another sport. If you are required to attend another workshop, the fee would be $15 (since you have already received a copy of the workbook) and the payment would be made by you, not your school.
- Sunday, February 21st from 1:00pm-4:00pm at St. Monica. The workshop will be held in the lower lounge which is located in the building on the south side of campus (the same building the gym is located in).
Please allow time for parking, registration, etc.....so that you are in attendance at the beginning of the workshop.
The Play Like A Champion Today™ Sports as Ministry (PLC) initiative supports Catholic leagues and dioceses in promoting: athletics as ministry to youth and families, building teams as Christian communities, character development, spiritual growth, intrinsic motivation and responsible decision-making
*Beginning with the 2009-2010 school year, attendance at a PLC workshop will be mandatory for all DPL coaches.
