There are 20 schools participating in Girls’ Varsity D1/D2 Volleyball. Each school sends one (1) representative. The top ten (10) schools in the Varsity Division 1 standings as of October 19 will be allowed to provide one (1) additional player to the roster. This will provide for a total of 30 players, 15 per team. Schools with multiple teams in the top ten (10) spots will only be considered to occupy one position. This Volleyball match is designed to be a community event featuring the best 8th grade players from each school. Please choose your players accordingly. Players selected should possess an acceptable level of skills that will allow them to have a good experience at this event.
The top 2 teams in the Division 1 standings and the top team in each division in D2 as of October ?? will be asked to provide the coaches. All players submitted must be 8th graders. Official Game Rosters will be released on October ??th.
Should a school choose not to participate, then alternates will be added based on standings of Division 1 teams as of October ??. Athletic Directors must fax the form below by October 19 to reserve a roster spot for their players. Schools in line to fill extra positions will be notified on October 19. All schools which fail to fax representatives by October 19th, will be considered as not participating. Please be prepared to name additional players at that time. The rosters will be completed by October 19.
The match will feature a best 3 of 5 games format. The games will be played with rally scoring to 25 points. Teams will be split by the DPL Athletic Director. Girls will each wear their school volleyball uniforms.
Admission to the game will be 1-2 canned food goods to be donated to Catholic Charities Food Bank. Please help to make these games a success with your participation, advertising, & attendance.
